Partner Spotlight: The Martingale (Finance League)

We wanted to take a quick break to highlight a Community Partner that is supporting the high school engineering ecosystem: The Martingale.

What is it?

The Martingale is a competitive league for Quantitative Finance. While Hack4Health focuses on biological systems, The Martingale focuses on financial systems.

The Connection:

Many of the skills you are using in this hackathon—cleaning data, training models, and finding patterns—are exactly what professionals use to model the stock market. The Martingale has invited all Hack4Health participants to join their Winter Volatility Open.

Highlights:

The Data: Work with a massive, curated dataset of financial news and price history.
The Goal: Predict market crashes before they happen.
The Career Boost: Finalists are included in a recruitment "Dossier" for research and trading roles.
